Graduate school projects
Projects within the graduate school in marine environment are paired. In this way two PhD students from different faculties are working together within each project.
14 students will be enrolled in seven projects when the graduate school is fully developed. The following projects have received funding:
- Project 1. Expansion and changing use of leisure crafts along the Swedish coasts – socio-cultural drivers, spatial behaviour and impacts on marine biodiversity
- Project 2. No-net loss and restoration of marine habitats – legal and ecological constraints and solutions
- Project 3. The effects of climate induced changes in the Arabian Sea on marine and coastal socio-ecological systems in India
- Project 4. Strategic research for the development of sustainable bivalve shellfish industry on the Swedish West coast
- Project 5. Outdoor recreation in coastal areas – monitoring qualities and managing conflicts. The case of Kosterhavet National Park
- Project 6. Evaluating Catch Shares and ITQs for Economic, Environmental and Socio-Cultural Sustainability in Sweden
- Project 7. Antibiotic resistance in marine bacteria: The role of biocides and metals in the marine environment for promoting and maintaining antibiotic resistance
